About Me
Credentials...
I have gained valuable clinical experience working with a variety of populations and mental health concerns during my tenure as an outpatient therapist at Peachford Hospital. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC#011297) and received my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University. I also earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A from Rutgers University.
why...
I have a passion for helping women at various stages on their journey. Life transitions, perinatal mood disorders, depression, anxiety, stress management, codependency, boundaries, and relationship concerns are all issues with which I can assist you. When the storms of life head your way – and let’s face it, they will come– it is important to know that you are not alone in your struggles. It’s okay to reach out for help.
how...
I adjust my approach in counseling to each individual client. I am person-centered and will draw from an eclectic mix of treatment modalities to meet you where you are and address your individual needs. Yet, my style is also strongly informed and influenced by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
WHat else...
As a Christian, my faith impacts who I am as a counselor. It guides my perspective of valuing the uniqueness of each client in a space that is non-judgmental. However, I am always respectful of whatever your beliefs may or may not be. My goal is to partner with you on YOUR journey. Faith and spirituality can be incorporated into the sessions if desired, but only at the client’s request.
